Mary A. Johnson, Ph.D.
Practice

My area of expertise is grief and loss of various kinds -- loss through death, loss of a relationship, loss of a job, loss of a pet, loss of health, loss of independence. I am experienced in counseling family members and friends of persons who have died by suicide. I also provide couples counseling, counseling for depression, for adult children dealing with aging parent issues, and persons seeking personal growth. I thoroughly enjoy my work. I am open and honest with clients, and my personality seems to put most people at ease. I try to schedule new clients within a week, realizing that when people call they usually want help as soon as possible.
